Like I said, A little stoeger coach gun is great for home defense. costs a bit over 300 in 12 gauge.
Another good deal can be found at Academy sports and some wal-marts on Remington Model 870 pumps that shoot the 3 inch shells and smaller. They are now moving up to 3 and 1/2 inch shells so I think these are a great buy. I don't know who'd use them except some duck hunter who wants and anti- aircraft gun. the 2 and 1/2 inch shells are cheaper and work just fine and won't go away soon since there are hundreds of thousands of buyers for the shorter shells. anyway I paid 196 bucks plus tax for my model 870 Pump at wal- mart just before christmas. It is a bit bulky for swinging about in hallways but you can buy a shorter barrel.
Anyway just remember what happens when you bring a knife to a gunfight.
