A true Hero Gone

From the communications Director at the NVW museum

For those who did not see it, Friday’s Dallas Morning News carried about a ½ page obituary in the Metro section for Hugh Thompson. For those not immediately familiar with the name, he was the helicopter pilot who stopped the My Lai massacre and for the past couple of years, quietly spread the word of the museum from Louisiana.I know we're a bit biased, but believe this story was more worthy of the front page than Vince Young deciding to turn pro. Hugh’s story is one that we must not forget, and should tell prominently in the museum. An authentic American hero.
