Your right Bob, a lot of highway riding in some pretty miserable places. If you do decide at some point to try it, you're more than welcome to stop here. That would be a little less than halfway for you and Shakey. It's about 6.5 hrs from here to DC.

I ride a 1975 bone shaker that is comfortable at about 63 1/2 mph. The gas tanks get me about 90 miles, then it's time to refuel. You can be assured that the stops are frequent and we ride as little of the highway as we can get away with. We are riding for the ride, not the place were going, so nobody is in any hurry. Billy has been looking at a rural route that parallels the highway most of the way down. We might do that this year.

Anyway, when you guys are ready, let me know. No rush, it will be happening every year. It would be great to ride with the 2 of you though. If I didn't have so many things to get done this year I would suggest us coming up your way. Might happen, but our first ride together might not be until the reunion in September.....
