same here, Tom-
we have a lot of Huey traffic, as you may have noticed - more down here by the River, because of Davison and Quantico-
most are very modern, and they stick out like a sore thumb- the local Coast Guard, FBI, who knows who? ("black helicopters") and air ambulance outfits, for example... but the Tried and True
early models are occasionally heard-
sweet !!
Y' know, I have thought about it very often, and for just a couple of days shy of eleven months, except when it was raining so hard at Holloway that I could hardly hear myself think, even under heavy incoming, I don't remember NOT hearing Hueys, Cobras, Chinoooks, Loaches, skycranes, bubblebirds, or SOMETHING of the ilk.
and on the first day of the jumpoff to Cambodia, I counted 93 in the air at once, give or take a possible couple... no exaggeration...just an addled memory !! and pictures to prove most of them...
