Capt.Bunch or Bench,(Former British Army Cherokeee contingent,(and they asked why we ran the "Indians" out)) Also known as "Benge", Led the last cherokee raid into what is now Scott County Va in about 1794. Some of my other ancestors were in the party that killed him and his men as he tried to get back through the gaps to return to the chattanooga area.-) LOL just a bit of trivia from our past. (Mulengeons, like the others were on both sides in the "civil war' that won our freedom from England.) If you are interested, I have a good run down on the source of the Mulengeons. Any why moutnains have names like "Alleganies" and places have names like "Alabama" and the meaning of the word "Mulengeon" itself-)
