This is Galloway week in New England, Shoo.

He went home on Tues. morning, and he's coming back tomorrow for a doodah at the US Coast Guard Academy in New London CT, about 45 minutes from here. We've turned into Joefish's posse when he comes nawth.

Parade, and JLG review of cadets, at 4pm, reception for the gnarly smellbad Army doods (count the silverware before THEY leave) and selected upperclass cadets at the Supe's (Superintendent's) quarters at 6pm, then JLG hizzownself talks to all the cadets at 8pm. Depending upon the thrust of his talk, we are either props or cast members. They stick us up in the front row and we stand and nod, grin, and wave to the folks on cue.

But it's like going to West Point... I leave the place so impressed with the young people who are there, and who will soon be standing between us and the bad guys, I just cannot believe how damned lucky we are.
