It was ALWAYS called the other name by aircrews. 'till the 4th Division PR folks decided that "Titty mountain" did not sould fierce enough and was not an appropriate name for a battlefield or a divison headquarters. When I got there in December 66 and someone told me about a land mark with that name, I had no trouble locating it by just scanning the Pleiku Plateau. There it sat in all it's Jane Mansfield glory. I would NEVER have been able to locate "Dragon" mountain with any certainty without a map. For the rest of my tour that land mark was the beacon that guided me home on sunny days and occasionally filled me with fear when we flew near it in foggy weather or were setting up an NDB approach to camp Holloway in the clouds. I did that two times during that first tour, and sweated that mountain both times. There were at least a dozen aircraft plastered on that mountainside. Some lured there by flase beacons set up by Sir Charles, others were planted by pilots who forgot that friendly land mark could be a killer if not treated with respect in bad weather.
