Start by prosecuting whoever took the information out of the office to start with. Who, by the way, was not, in all likelihood, "burglarized;" who probably sold the information and then reported it stolen when asked about it.

Then fire or prosecute that individual's boss, then the next person up the line, then the next, and then the next, until SOMEBODY comes up with an honest explanation of how it happened and how to prevent it from happening again. Until somebody does that, it means they just don't care or don't get it, and they should not be in charge of our information.

I would prefer firing squad or gallows, but that is not yet practicable. That will come later; I hope I'm around to see it. Or to participate.
