Well..guess this doesn't just apply to veterans. My grandson, who is an active duty Marine, got his letter today. He will be thrilled to return from Iraq to find someone may have stolen all his money, and run up his credit cards while he is over there. Surely the penalty of this idiot who took the records home should be a lot heavier than being fired. But..I suppose no one thought to have pretty stringent guidelines in place beforehand.

Today at the VA, where I volunteer, someone wondered if I should be allowed to clean up and shred all the old papers in their file cabinets in light of this big scare. However, the file cabinets don't contain anything anywhere near as critical and, further, neither have been locked despite they have nice locks on them. Suppose they are now gonn want me to get top secret clearance or decide can't use a volunteer in the Admin. offices. Duhhhhh Caroline
