Reunion - 2006 - MOTORCYCLES

For those riding motorcycles or bringing them with.....

- Massachusetts has a helmet law. We may also be in NH, VT, CT for rides. NH and CT you can leave the lid off, the other states it's required.

- Loud pipes are bad news in MA. They do have a DB limit AND require a muffler. They like to stop bikes making noise. Take note that if you run straight pipes you will likely be paying fines.

- If you wear colors for an organization (especially a Veterans organization) bring them with you ! If you wear colors for an MC, I politely ask that you leave them at home. Anyone who belongs to an MC will understand why, no need to put the details here.

- The roads around the area are mostly paved but watch out for loose gravel. This is the country and you won't see any street cleaners keeping things tidy... so when you approach an intersection or a side road, be careful.

- Windshields are a life saver around corn fields... if you have one bring it. The evenings are cool and the bugs come out in force. We have bugs that will make you think you just got hit in the chest with a crow....

- Leathers, gloves, rain gear... all a good idea.

- There's a Harley shop in the next town over (Bernardston) and a Metric shop over towards Greenfield. If you're riding to the reunion and need to do an oil change when you arrive we will make sure you have what you need to do that.

There is the opportunity for some really nice rides in the area. If you have a bike and can bring it, bring it.... I will have mine and I believe Doc and Shakey will have theirs. I have a friend coming up on Saturday, he will have his. Huey carries his in his back pocket, so I know he'll be riding when he gets there.
