REUNION - UPDATES

Ok, here's some overall information for those of you anxiously waiting for more on this gig.....

What to wear:

Average temp in September for Northfield runs between 47 in the evening to 71 during the day so those coming from warmer climates should bring clothes suitable for this range. Evenings can seem cold (crisp) so sweats, flannel shirts or light jackets are a must. If you're sleeping outside in a camper or tent then a nice warm sleeping bag or a light one and a blanket should do.

Food:

You will be on your own for food, aside from the day we have the cookout and the days following with whatever leftovers we have. We have several grocery stores within 15 minutes and 2 small country stores in town (5 minutes). There will be at least one propane grill available for outdoor grilling. Two of the houses have stoves and ovens as well a microwave so "conventional" kitchen "stuff" is available.

Activities

- Bring a motorcycle, there will be riding. I believe at least 5 people that I know of, will have their motorcycles there.
- If you bring a 4 wheeler, there are trails from MA to Canada right off my property.
- If you Fish, bring you're pole and tackle, there are places to go fishing in the area. I don't know what the out of state license requirements are but that's easy enough to find out on the web.
- There are a few golf courses, one right in town and another fairly famous one just across the river (about 15 minutes). Doc can tell you more about that than I can... suppose to be pretty good.
- If you like hiking, there are thousands of miles of trails right off my property.
- If you have films or pictures that are on DVD or VHS, bring them. I will have a projection unit setup in the tent to show a few movies or whatever shows up....
- If you bring a boat, the CT river is 5 minutes from the house with a nice concrete boat ramp. It's not a super fast river but there are currents so if you bring your canoe you should be in shape for it..... a 12' boat with a small motor is better suited.

Overall, nothing is schedule for any particular dates except the reunion itself and the cookout which will be that Thursday or Friday. Everything else will happen as it happens.....

I will be at the house between the 9th and the 18th. The core dates for the reunion are the 13th through the 17th but you're welcome anytime while I'm there.

Any additional questions, let me know.

Can't wait to see again, those I've already met and to meet those I haven't. This is going to be a great time ! (it has to be it's the only vacation I get this year !!!!).
