Logan Apt - Boston - Directions

Driving to and from Logan Airport in Boston has become a bit of a challenge since they had a tunnel collapse that totally screwed up traffic.

The good news is, if you absolutely MUST go through there, I am told that things are semi-okay because the detours are extremely well-marked. Advice from those who know is this:

Flying into Logan, to get to Northfield follow signs from the airport to the Massachusetts Turnpike, "MASSPIKE" or I-90 West. It is a toll road, so bring a buck or two. You will be detoured through city streets but they are working hard to keep you moving and I am told the route is very well-marked.

In about ten miles (or so?) you will see signs for either I-95 North or Route 128 North. SAME ROAD. Take I-95/128 North for 5 or 10 miles (?) to Lexington, where you will see signs for Route 2 West.

Take Route 2 West. It changes from divided to not divided and back again, etc. Urban to rural, but you don't need to worry about it, just follow Route 2 all the way across the state until you see signs for I-91 North. Then follow the directions here on the site, north on I-91 to the Northfield exit.

Route 2 is a nice ride, you'll enjoy it.

If anyone is going to be around Boston for more than an hour or two, please let us know. Boston (despite being overrun with lefties) is one of the nicest cities on the face of the earth, and we can send you to some great stuff while you're there. 1776 happened there, and a lot of it is still standing.
