Texas is also a state that is favored by retirees. We have the same basic temperatures as Florida, yet we have other areas where you can get cold if you want to. The land and home prices are far cheaper than Florida, and we have the same advantages such as no State Income Tax, and homestead exemptions. San Antonio and Austin are favored by many (no hurricanes), but there is a whole state to check out.

Tom Frankenfield is one of our own who lives in Florida, but then again, you have several of us here in Texas.
