the "Meditation Garden" is under construction at The National Vietnam War Museum near Mineral Wells, TX. There will be 6 "Memorial Gardens", the first of which is the "Meditation Garden"
Here is a description of the garden from the museum website.
"Phase I - Meditation, Contemplation and Vietnam Memorial Gardens, the Museum Service Center and the first half of the east parking lot. The Meditation Garden will contain a large gazebo and two labyrinth paths, as well as memorial bricks, plaques, and tablets recognizing individuals and organizations. The Contemplation Garden will be prepared to contain a replica of the Camp Holloway Memorial Wall originally built on the post in the city of Pleiku, then a city in South Vietnam. The Vietnam Memorial Garden will be prepared to contain a replica of the Moving Wall. The Museum Service Center will contain maintenance equipment and supplies, as well as an office for the maintenance department."

Now, Here is my proposition. A memorial Bench in one of the gardens cost 2500 dollars. I'll pledge $500 of that so we can put a bench in the garden and dedicate it to all who served in the 119th. If this group can come up with the rest of the money, (2000 dollars) we can do it. Do not send money yet.. we may want to appoint someone to hold the money (Bob K? Tom F? Willie?) until we are ready. Anyway it is just a thought.
