"A Soldier Returns
27 March 2007
Hopefully this warrior will forgive me for using his email without his permission. I wish I had been there to welcome him back to the "world". Thank-you all in the DFW area for making his return special.

*********
I made it to DFW this AM. We flew charter from Kuwait-Ireland-DFW.

What a reception...the report by ABC that was on You-Tube doesn't even come close to showing what that is like.

The fire trucks at DFW shoot a water arch over the plane when you arrive. When you de-plane and walk to customs you pass down an isle that is separate from the rest of the terminal but has glass walls...everyone who was within my eyesight was clapping and cheering.

Once you clear customs you run the gauntlet from customs to baggage pick-up...there were literally 100's of people cheering, shaking hands, it got quite difficult for me to see by the end of that...something got in my eyes.

They do this every single day.
GOD Bless TEXAS!

He is only home for a short time before he returns. As I have told him before, "May all your beer be cold & the women easy!"
