These guys (below) are trying to get you to pay 5 bucks for them to tell you to apply to the State of Florida for a concealed carry permit.

The fact is that Florida does issue non-resident permits by mail. Go to the State of Florida website and nose around, find the page that offers an application packet, and just fill out the form. (It's the Dept of Agriculture, belive it or not.) In a week or so, a big envelope will arive in the mail. Go to your local police, get fingerprinted, get some passport photos taken, make a copy of your DD-214, fill out the application carefully and send it all in with the money. They say the permit arrives in less than 90 days. I count 31 states that honor Florida's permit.
