Andrew, I did not know him, but I think several of the folks around here knew your grandfather well and greatly respected him, from all I have heard.
A few years ago I met a retired Army officer, General Allan Anger, who went through flight school with your grandfather. Gen. Anger was living in Pennsylvania when I knew him, but I believe he has since moved to the southwestern US. I do know he would love to hear from you, because I remember he raved about his old friend Jimmy Conrad.
