An Ocean Away documents the story of U.S. Marine Lt. Donald Matocha, who was killed in action in Vietnam, the repatriation and burial of his remains 30 years later, and the return of his sisters and fellow Marines to the Dong Ma battlefield where he died. As they retrace their steps, the Marines recount the daring helicopter rescue that saved the wounded and surrounded recon patrol, culminating in a moment of reconciliation none ever could have predicted.
