Okay folks, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund announced the Reading of the Names for Veterans Day this year. The link is below.

Our application, suitably organized, is in. It is far from a done deal, but we can at least proceed to get a little organized over the next couple of months.

There are 25 logical groups of names from the 119th on The Wall. We will need readers for 9 groups on Wednesday, 7 groups on Thursday, 2 groups on Friday, and 7 groups of names on Saturday. Each reader does maybe 40 to 50 names, and our 119th guys will be included somewhere in each group.

Remember, this is not just for 119th vets; it is absolutely for family members of those we lost. Please let me know if you wish to read a specific name or group of names, and I will begin to keep track of those requests. I hope we will be able to juggle things right up to the end, but who knows? You will need to be there at The Wall when your assigned names come up, anywhere from 5AM to Midnight, on whatever day your names are to be read. They will be giving a general idea of times as we get closer to the date, and they want us there at least an hour early.

It is an experience you will never forget.
