Doc, you can stay on the soap box, you are more right than you know.. Gator 573 was put in for an award by the 225th for the rescue of Mohawk 09er crew. I still have the papers from their Commanders.. all we got was my Purple Heart. and only then when I write to the Presdident asking what happened to my medals.. Then I was sent my Purple heart , good Conduct, defence, Vietnam defence, and 2nd thru 10th Air medals. AND a nasty letter telling me this all ,I get and don't bother looking for more....
