RVN Vet passing...back from PA

sorry for not posting answers sooner but just got back from PA. My Father In Law SSGT Jaroslav Pliska Passed away Oct 1st 2007. He was truly my HERO, as I can say without a doubt he was the best . I had the honor of serving with him at Ft Rucker In 1969-70. He did two tours in Korea, Two Tours in Vietnam. He was a Small Arms Expert by MOS. one of the last to have that MOS. Jerry Came to America in 1949 just as the iron curtain went up. He and a brother and some friends came over, joined the Army learned to speak English, became AND AMERICAN CITIZEN. Retired in 1972 and worked hard in a sheet metal shop where
re-retired several years ago. He has several brothers still alive in Chez Republic, Jerry was always there to help anyone who needed help and asked nothing in return. Jerry was 77 years young, My wife and her youngest sister Sherry was by his side the morning of Oct 1st at 7:30 am when he went to be with our Lord.. There was not much Sorrow as we all agreed that It was our privilege to have him as a Step father and father in law. As he chose Vivian's Mother for his wife, as she already had Six children from her first marriage. So as you can see he was quite an man. The words of Sherry the youngest daughter sums up his life...." To a quiet man whom we will hear for all eternity".... Now I can truly say "Welcome home Jerry, good and faithful servant" ::f .......Proud Son in law Paul Schmitz
