Could be a reflection, but by pausing and looking single frame it has what appears to be a yellow center on the Gator patch, radio door. First Flight.

Could have been early in the fight if they didn't have the LZ improved enough to set the ship down.

Black soldier, stretcher case at 00:47, has what might be a 173d Abn shoulder patch tucked into the band on his helmet.

The fight lasted from Nov 18, 1967, to Nov. 23rd, Thanksgiving Day.

According to Rick Atkinson's "The Long Gray Line," 40 US helicopters were lost during Operation MacArthur, the Battle of Dak To.

Alpha Company, 2nd Bn, 503d Infantry, of the 173d Abn, had a strength of 101 men on November 19, 1967. There were 28 left alive on Thanksgiving.
