NAVY CWO Pilots

At last. Some one (The Navy) has realized that you don't need squadrons of Lt. Commanders or Colonels, who's only qualification for leadership is the fact that they can fly a damned airplane. The Army learned that years ago. By the time a company grade officer has attained the skills to become a truly effective combat pilot, he's promoted to field grade and most fly a desk at that point and let their skills suffer and their costs increase. With this program they'll get dedicated warriors who have the attitude to deal with suicidal enemies. They'll spend their career in the cockpit at the company grade level and pass on their skills. Not necessarily as "an officer and a gentleman", but junk yard dogs who'll do the mission in spite of the odds. Warrant Officers are the pit bulls of the officer corps.
