Well the control surfaces are exaggerated also but with half gone and most CG etc out so far, the man was extremely lucky. Back in the day, a bud and I built a stunt plane and it would not have survived such an incident.
He was lucky to recover from the spins and even luckier he fell forward on the wheels not the canopy and finally hovering on the engine is fine.. but you have zero control on the angle except with throttle.
he was LUCKY.It was not his day to die.
