Thanks I have his info. The old XO Jess Brock and I recently wrote letters trying to get him his air medals and stuff. As usual, paperwork was lost but I have pics of him and me on a LST riverine boat base and remember him well. I flew over 100 hours with him in the company ship and there were seven pilots in the unit. Mostly we tested aircraft and did not fly the company ship except on recoveries, and Admin runs and he never got his air medals.That sux. I am pretty sure he was in back when we were circling just north of LZ Ripcord waiting to be sent in to recover aircraft while they were abandoning artillery and shooting down aircraft. Anyway that was the scariest flight of my second tour and we burned two fuel loads about 5 miles from the LZ when someone finally got smart and called us off. The old CO is dead or we'd have had his letter too. I know he was onboard when my recovery team was ambushed and we had to go back in and get them out. Anyway Tom, He's a good man-and was a really good CC. In a whole company of Aircraft mechs he had to be good to get the flight position.
