Tom it was a hoot.
BTW It was "Swamp Chicken". A spicy cajun rice, vegetable and chicken recipe,cooked over a campfire; from the fish camps of Louisiana back in the 60s. The guys loved it.
Most of us had not seen each other for a generation.. and ol' Dave's place was remote and primitive. Just like Holloway. Loved it, and got to use my cast Iron cooker stuff in the old cowboy way and gave out my dutch oven cook books. I want to do it again before I die. Wish someone would set one up. I'd come if I had to crawl.
