Well, for one reason, the media director of the museum (her name will remain unposted for now) told us if the national media got wind of this project the museum would refuse the gift. ALL Media was to be routed thru her department. When a local paper called me and asked for information, I had to refer them to the media director of the Museum. She also told us if we kept to our plan and entered New York City airspace to pay tribute tothe victims of 9/11 "the Museum will refuse the gift".
Well, like good soldiers we kept our mouth shut and accomplished the misssion, but now that mission is done. I suggest you guys go ask the media director of the musuem and your congressmen why there was no publicity. I can bet it is because her left wing anti-military ass wanted it that way. The Director of the museum, Dr. Glass is OK but the Media director has an agenda in my opinion. SIC'em. and I hope you get them.
