Dave was a super pilot, I learned a lot from him. He was as crazy as the rest of us, but if you flew with him you learned about flying from him. He was one of the smoothest pilots that I ever flew with, and I flew my first combat mission with him. A flight to pick up a SF team in Cambodia, they had been sent to recover a body. The flight was a flight that scared the hell out of me, being my first combat assault and at the same time I still laugh about my ignorance during that flight and the things that happened to me as a result of actions taken by the crew.
