I think Doublejeff went up the tower to take the guy out but found him dead when he got up there. I remember that night but so many things happened the first three weeks I was in country I can't recall if this happened one night are several nights. The night they tried to come through the wire and somebody blew the claymores I thought I was dead. My whole body ached for two days after that. I was in the bunker with Fred Brown and maybe Sharpe? Dave Silk was also there I do remember that. Help me out here Dave. Was that the same night the Crocs made the gun run on downtown Pleiku? That first month was a blur because I was so new I don't think I had gotten any mail yet.
