From some things I've read, the 52nd took the name "Flying Dragons" and the patch from the 119th. The 119th became the 'black Dragons", there were still a few black dragon patches in use when I got there ealy december 1966. John Moberly had a shirt with one on it.
During our tour at Lane AAF in early 1967 we got the Allegator patches of the Gator with a rotor on it. I also remember the one that was used later. Also several crocs had the patch on their door but it was changed as we got all C models.
damned thing was really confused for a while.
