Bob,
After spending several years going over army reports, I have found one of two types people did these reports. Some of the reports are outstanding and complete with detail that outline a unit's history. The other was done by someone who had the job dumped on them and not much effort was put forth.

I think the biggest problem that the 119th and 545th had was the amount of times they were moved around and the number of times we relocated for short periods of time. Plus add the fact that the guys at the 52nd CAB were not big on dealing with reports and other important documents. Quarterly reports for most of 1967- 1969 are incomplete at best and a lot of important data was never recorded.

Some place there is a big cardboard box filled with many of the things we are searching for. I know myself that screw-ups were very common. During 1968 there were two Careys in the company. Myself and Andy Carey who was a gunner with the 2nd flight platoon. When the army went from serial numbers to s/s numbers I ended up with Andy's number and was listed like that for most of 1969. It never really got straighten out until I Derosed. My 201 file is still a mess and I doubt if it ever will get fixed.
