You don't need to go on Ebay to find the medals. there are websites. BUT,if you have medals coming, you can submit a form to the military and ask that they review your records and send you your medals for free. I got mine and each one had my name engraved on the back and the proper number or clusters on the thing. As for the Cross of Gallantry, every soldier who served in nam got it as a unit award. I remember 19 guys of the 119th got it in early 1967 at Lane AAF and it was then downgraded to a unit award so you could only wear the ribbon over the left shirt pocket. Each and every man of the 119th got at least one cross of gallantry with palm (unit award) and if you served 2 full tours, chances are you have 3 awards.
Anyway, I saw acts of heroism in the 119th that went un rewarded because the 119th was 'Old school" compared to some other units that were very liberal with awards. One man from the 11th ACR told me Colonel Patton told then " I can't give you Victory but I can sure make sure your service is rewarded. He got 2 DFCs. and said they were fairly concious and followed up with their awards. The Airforce issued a directive and awarded the DFC to every pilot who flew in nam and it was based on his "best mission" I saw that directive in 1967 and thought of the men who died earning it before. Anyway, my two cents.
I say if they got medals good on them... and for those who's heroic act went unrewarded I will say what I heard one time. You have the satisfaction of knowing you served your country well in time of war.
