Thanks Bob. I done did it late today; that is some nice little piece, and it breaks down even littler. It really solves a potential longterm travel problem, no legal questions that I would rather not have to deal with. Bought it on the spot. I'll have to break it down tomorrow, clean things up, and see what's what. We'll find a place to make some noise next week sometime. Made in Brazil...

I think I've been seeing 18 inch barrel as legal minimum. Re derringer, loading with a shot shell wouldn't make it a shotgun. You're legal to carry the derringer... you can load it with whatever raises yer flag. I think I remember some questions a few years ago about the legality of those handgun shot loads... seems to me it was resolved, they are generally available now, no?
