and over 600 were looted from pawn shops, sporting goods stores, and Walmart. A LOT of homeowners' weapons were ruined by the floodwaters- shame on them... If I got wet, then my guns would (maybe) have gotten wet.

I'm outraged at the confiscations from law-abiding citizens.

There was one news item I saw in which a deputy sheriff came to the edge of a "righteously armed community" and a suburb of NOLA, and was met, as all "visitors" were met, by a "minutemen-type group". He was welcomed in to look around, but declined the offer. He stated to a reporter that he wasn't needed there !!

but - gun control or not, the bad guys WILL get them.
