My personal opinion, Which I respect very much, and voiced loudly as a young soldier, "Anybody who jumps out of a perfectly good airplane is nuts" My Ranger cousin and I used to argue about that, and I said.. "I fly choppers and can land any damned place with precision. Tell me one good reason to JUMP on the enemy.. Unless the damned thing is on fire?".. He never could. And to this day we discuss it-))I think it is a Macho thing for the jumpers. Amazing how many paratroopers could not work up the balls to fly a chopper in combat-))
