I really like this idea.

That would work even if we only did it on a one for one basis. With at least eight million illegal people crossing the border between Mexico and the US, we could empty our prison population. With the druggies that we have imprisoned, they would stop the transportation of drugs for their own use in Mexico. The number of violent controlling prisoners that would be released would take over Mexico. President Fox would be out of a job inside of a year of the first release, the only probem would be that we would have a violent nation bordering our nation that we would have to prevent from entering the US and we may truly have to shoot people crossing the border illegally.
