Kerney was a classmate. and they should not have been flying that damned thing. It had been hot started to very excessive tempratures several times at Dak To and they were told to fly it home instead of letting it sit for a maint. officer to fly it back or an extraction to haul it back. Pure neglect or direlection of duty was responsible for a line crew being in that aircraft.I was furious and got into a lot of trouble for posting little papers containing hot start and overspeed parameters on the instrument panels. It was considered an " Unauthorized Placard". There should have been a courtsmartial over that incident. And for those who say it is in the past, to me it's NOT!
