Do U want to involve any of the established orgs. already in Hawaii?? The DAV is vary strong as is the Marine Corps League. There is also a joint committee where I think they all get together on big projects. Of course, the other orgs. are also there..VFW (not as strong), American Legion, etc. All have their following of the many many veterans from all services. I know the DAV has a tax exempt status, just for one, as my husband was the one who go it for them.

Could they be demolishing the buildings due to termites? Most of the old ones are wood and just get eaten up quickly. Caroline
