just had a long talk with Paul Sr.... he and Viv have come thru the ice storm a bit chilled, but with power and phones back on after about two weeks... they sequestered themselves in one room of their house, and "cooked out" inside; thanks to kerosene heaters and stoves, they fared OK...all they really could have used was some company and some "D" cell batteries...and they've had their fill of Scrabble and such..

IF the "balloon goes up", and we have to head for the hills, I'll think I'll head to Springfield, MO, and be with my survivorPals.
