a whole bunch bit the dust (arrested) on 3/17. my son Mike caught one who had hit me with his Commie sign. before I could respond, Lumpy02 had him on his knees, apologizing to all the Veterans and thanking us for his freedom of speech. a Park Police LT grabbed the guy after the apology and sent him flying with the admonition to "get your ass out of here while you still can !"

They should know by now that getting hit with signs and I just don't get along.

as one of the stories goes, one black-suited and masked "Black Bloc" anarchists approached in a dead run at the three Brothers Statue, apparently with mayhem on his mind,and a WWII and Korea Vet (RANGER), about 80, flipped his cane around and caught the perp by teh ankle with the crook of his cane- as I say, as the story goes, the puke went down face-first and was rapidly set upon by Park Police, who hauled him off.. must have been a SIGHT.

I'd have forfeited all my beer money to have seen it.
