I dunno how to check on decorations, but would be interested to find out how many Air Medals were awarded to NCOs we know who never set foot on the flight line, let alone flew outside the wire.

Re longevity, no doubt the unit is among those that served longer than most. I'll nose around, see what info is available, if any served longer and who they were. I have Stanton's "Order of Battle" and I think he lists dates in and out.
