I didn't know him because I had just arrived, but he was still there as the Croc gun platoon Sgt. in the summer of 1968.

Davey Silk has a great story about a pilot crashing Dolbejeff's ship at the end of the runway; we'll see if we can roust Davey to tell it.

There was also a story about Dolbejeff climbing the water tower to "remove" two bad guys who had gotten up there when the Camp Holloway perimeter was breached during Tet 68. Maybe someone who was there can confirm?

All I really know for sure is he had a reputation as one tough guy.
