Larry the Cable Guy sends Nebraska vets to WWII Memorial

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Larry the Cable Guy is making sure that about 100 World War II vets get a trip to a war memorial done.

The Nebraska-native comedian, whose real name is Dan Whitney, has paid for plane tickets for the May trip to the World War II Memorial in Washington.

The former soldiers plan to also visit the Vietnam Wall and the Arlington National Cemetery.
