I just spoke with Jay this morning and he would appreciate anything we can tell him about Bob Copher. I told him that Bobby was my first gunner (more like I was his last crew chief) and in the couple of weeks we flew together, he taught me what I needed to know to get home safe. What a good guy. I remember his Mom sent me a big box of helicopter detailing supplies after he arrived home.
I did not know until today that he died shortly after making it home. What a shame.
