Big time. It was nothing in the late 50s and thru mid 60s at home to walk down the residential street with .22 and shotgun, past the liquor store, barber and beauty shops, A and W gas stations and to the 7-11 and buy ammo, go across a major boulevard and into the desert and shoot 'til we were tired of it. State Troopers, Sheriff's Dept. and local PD didn't bat an eye.

We behaved ourselves back then.
