Brothers, the good times are here!

Nothing to do with the government or those in it.

I have been traveling and having a ball since the first of November (40 years after the day that I was shot down and wounded in Nam). I spent three days on the road going to the Camp Holloway Memorial Dedication. I attended a party in Shreveport that lasted three days. I spent three days in Shreveport getting elective surgery (that didn't slow me down). I cooked five Cajun Fried turkeys during this time, and I had a blast at a two day Thanksgiving day party that lasted way into the night on Friday after Thanksgiving. Then on Saturday morning, I woke up early and headed for Washington, D.C.. Two days of driving and I got there on Sunday night in time to meet some people from a motorcycle forum for some wings and beer. On Monday, I purchased another bike, a beautiful bike, then I went over to meet with Lumpy, Lumpy's son and Rabbit. We all went out for a good time and wound up in the Gator Bar and Billiards Hall, where we made a name for ourselves with the owner. We finished the day by closing down a good little Mexican Restaurant. Visiting with Lumpy was great. I left from Ft. Belvior at 0530 on Tuesday Morning, headed for home. I got home on Wednesday evening about 1630. I have been resting since then, and life has been good. AND IT IS GETTING BETTER!

I have now lost down to 225 pounds, I am now wearing XL shirts and 40" pants, and the pants are loose. I am looking forward to getting down to 200 pounds. It sure does make haveing fun a lot easier.

I will be leaving next week for at least one week in Galveston, possibly two, and I do plan on being with my kids in Houston for Christmas.
