You can still do a 501c4 BT, that allows you to have a political opinion but you loose out on some of the non-profit benefits.

Not sure starting it would be that big a deal, it would just take some time as Doc said. The issue would be keeping up with it. I can only speak for myself, but between 2 jobs, 2 houses in different states, 3 kids under 8, 2 veterans organizations, and a business, I am all but tapped out when it comes to time and resources. Not complaining, I made the bed so I'm sleeping in it, just saying that's all :-)

I think what we got now is pretty good. I've been able to cover the cost of the site and everything so far without any problems, no reason to think that it can't continue as it has. If I had to add something to make it a little better, I'd throw in an big old barn on 100 acres, next to a lake with a small air strip. A place to meet, drink, fish, play and shoot things :-) What else do you need to make a good organization :-)
