President Obama wants “control” of weapons, blaming US gun shops for Mexican armed gangs. News clips show Mexican Cartel thugs using automatic weapons, machineguns.

So-called “machineguns” for civilian use have not been made in the USA for over twenty years. Only Police and Military can buy new fully automatic weapons produced in this country. Legal semi- automatic rifles cannot be simply converted to full automatic because sporting arms are made of thinner metal than their military counterparts. Machining them into fully automatic weapons is not safe or practical.

Where do the cartels get machineguns? They smuggle drugs from Central and South America, and they smuggle guns. Another likely source is the Mexican Army. Why pay thousands in the USA for a submachinegun (one that is licensed, accounted for and tracked) when Mexican soldiers will sell one for peanuts?

Obama is doing what governments do when they do not trust their citizens. He will grab or control access to arms, his excuse Mexican violence. The Second Amendment is not about guns. It is about our right of self-defense against predators, criminals, and tyrants. Should we give up our Constitutional rights when elected officials ignore their oath to preserve, protect, and defend that Constitution? They attack those who demand laws be enforced and those who attempt to enforce them. We need to vote out politicians of any party who do not faithfully guard our Bill of Rights, enforce our laws, and secure our nation’s borders.

We need “Government Control” not “Gun Control.”
