Paul, I am no expert either. But during my work as a Research Engineer, designing NBC resistant items and purification systems for aircraft, I was briefed by experts on how stuff is weaponized. As a result of those briefings I came up with a system that used heat to break down chemical products into daughter fragments, then scrub away the acids and oxidize the remaining products. That took care of chemicals. For biologicals, I just held them for a small amount of time and at such temperatures, it burned the protein out of them and then scrubbed the remainder. The system worked like a charm. But the briefings on weaponizing bugs scared the hell out of me, and made me smart enough to know that certain things don't occur as random natural events.
