Re: Army Lost and Found
In Response To: Army Lost and Found ()

George, I wanted to thank you for spotting Ron Morin's note and passing it along.

I have been in touch with him and it is possible we have found an additional 119th KIA that we did not know about. Ron was there during the 7 Feb 65 sapper attack and carried his buddy Alvin Parker to the dispensary, where he was pronounced dead.

They worked and lived together, which would seem to put Alvin in the 119th. The hook is, in those days, he may actually have been assigned to the 52d Bn or some other unit and attached to the 119th for duty.

I am working on it.

If anyone from the 1964-1965 time frame remembers anything about Alvin Parker, or possibly has copies of orders that may list his name included with others, I would really appreciate hearing any information you may have.

We will figure this out, and we may need to add a name to our KIA roster.
